(“OVI”), has relocated its operating base from South San Francisco, California, to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where it is now located within the office of ONO PHARMA USA, INC. (“OPUS”), Ono’s U.S. subsidiary.
Rationale for the Relocation to Cambridge, Massachusetts
Since its establishment in 2020, OVI has made strategic investments in biotechnology companies, primarily in North America, to gain access to innovative science, technologies, and drug discovery opportunities. In recent years, many of OVI’s portfolio companies have been based in the Greater Boston area, which has further strengthened its importance as one of the world’s leading life sciences innovation hubs.
Through this relocation to Cambridge, OVI will deepen its engagement with portfolio companies and startups, while continuing to maximize strategic returns.
